About Us

Director/Producer
Julie Bridgham has been working in documentary television for the last ten years and is based in New York. She has lived in Nepal off and on for over five years where she produced and directed numerous documentaries including several for the United Nations, as well as the independent documentary feature "At the Edge of Sufficient" focusing on two families of traders in Nepal's most mountainous and isolated region. She directed and produced "Indentured Daughters," a documentary on Nepali girls sent into bonded labor, as well as the films “Hope in the Himalayas” and “Children of Hope.” She was a Producer, Director, Shooter and Writer on the 26 episode documentary series "Exotic Islands” for the Travel Channel, and a Producer and Writer for the 13 episode series "Royal Families of the World.” She has worked on series for the BBC, the Discovery Channel and TLC. Before working in documentary television, she worked in Costa Rica as a Project Officer for a UNDP project, and in Bolivia as a researcher for the human rights organization Andean Information Network.

Co-Producer
Ramyata Limbu is a veteran Nepali journalist, and for the last fifteen years worked as a journalist for the Nepali Times, Kantipur Publications and as a freelance journalist for the Inter-Press News Agency. She co-produced and shot the documentary “Dreams of Chomolungma” for PBS’s Frontline World, and co-produced and shot the award winning feature independent documentary “Daughters Of Everest” which followed the first team of all women, Nepali Sherpa climbers to ascend Everest. For six years she was a producer for Young Asia Television, producing programs focusing on social issues in Nepal. Ramyata is the also the Director of the internationally acclaimed Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival, and is currently working with the United Nations Mission in Nepal.

Editor
Mona Davis is an award winning veteran documentary film editor. Her numerous documentary films include "Love and Diane" which premiered at the New York Film Festival, and won the Golden Leopard Award at the Locarno Film Festival and was released theatrically in spring 2003 and aired on PBS’s P.O.V series. "The Farm: Angola USA" won an Emmy award for best editing, was nominated for an Academy Award, won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and was named Best Documentary of the Year by the National Society of Film Critics. "A Perfect Candidate" was nominated for an Emmy award, released theatrically, and aired on the PBS P.O.V series. "Dream Deceivers" was nominated for an Emmy award, and won an International Documentary Association award, the Best of the West Award from PBS and a Gold Award from CPB. "Age Seven in America" and "14 Up in America" were televised on Granada TV and the BBC in Great Britain.

Co-Composer
Christopher James Thomas is an Emmy award winning composer and music producer. His credits include scoring the internationally released IMAX film “The Greatest Places”; the multiple award-winning indie film “First Last and Deposit”, numerous television shows for The Discovery Channel, and a variety of national television commercials for Sanyo, Chevrolet/ GEO, GMC, Alka –Selzer Plus, among others. He is also the recipient of the Telly Award Silver Statue and the AMI Gold Medal Award for best soundtrack/ production.

Co-Composer
Manose Newa has released four solo CDs and is ever-more popular as a contributing artist for work by everyone from Deva Premal, and Grammy-nominated Jai Uttal to bluegrass great, Peter Rowan. He has also collaborated with the Chicago Children's Choir, tabla maestro Swapan Chowdary, John Densmore of the Doors, and The New Maihar Band, an ensemble created by Ustad Ali Akhbar Khan. He is a founding member of the classical raga group Sukarma, his music videos air regularly on Nepali TV, he performs annually in Nepal's jazz festival where he has shared the stage with Australian maestro Don Burrows, and as a member of the nation's top rock band, 1974AD. Manose has toured in Canada, Australia, France, England, Switzerland, Germany, Hong Kong, and Malaysia and it is his ongoing pleasure to be Nepal's musical ambassador to the world.
